DAIHATSU MOTOR CO., LTD.

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) has concluded an agreement with Furusato Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Furusato”), a member of the Haseko Group that operates small-scale day service facilities for elderly people with dementia, for the introduction of the “RAKUPITA SOGEI” welfare and operation management system.

“RAKUPITA SOGEI” is an operation management system that supports transportation services for day care facilities at every stage—before, during, and after pick-up and drop-off—to improve labor productivity in caregiving, which is a pressing social issue. Since its launch in 2018, the system has been adopted by day care facilities nationwide, and following a renewal in October 2025, it is now used by more than 200 organizations across Japan.

In recent years, the increasing number of elderly people with dementia has become a major social issue, leading to more complex care requirements and growing burdens on caregivers. In particular, in transportation services, changes in routes or drivers can easily cause anxiety and confusion for users with dementia, making it necessary to provide a stable and consistent environment. As a result, improving transportation efficiency has often been avoided.
Daihatsu conducted a demonstration test for approximately four months from December 2025 at care facilities for elderly people with dementia operated by Furusato, based on the belief that “RAKUPITA SOGEI” could be effectively utilized, as it enables flexible route planning to accommodate individualized needs and schedule changes in transportation services. The results confirmed that it is possible to achieve both efficient transportation operations and a sense of reassurance for users. Based on these outcomes, Daihatsu has now concluded an agreement with Furusato to introduce the system at its facilities. Going forward, deployment is planned to be expanded to all directly operated facilities of Furusato (45 facilities).
This marks the first time for Daihatsu to introduce the system simultaneously across multiple small-scale facilities dedicated to elderly people with dementia. Daihatsu will continue to support the caregiving field by providing services that address a wide range of challenges faced on site.

Daihatsu will also continue its efforts to help resolve regional issues in the welfare and caregiving sector and contribute to the realization of a sustainable mobility society through the provision of services such as “RAKUPITA SOGEI” and “Goissho.”
