DAIHATSU MOTOR CO., LTD.
Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) will exhibit at “Barrier Free 2026: The 32nd Comprehensive Welfare Exhibition Proposing Comfortable Lifestyles for the Elderly and People with Disabilities,” one of Western Japan’s largest comprehensive welfare equipment exhibitions. Barrier Free 2026 will be held at INTEX Osaka from April 15 to April 17, 2026.
At Barrier Free 2026, Daihatsu will exhibit its mini welfare vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles and seat lift vehicles. It will also exhibit the e-SNEAKER, a walking-area mobility device designed to support short-distance travel. Furthermore, Daihatsu’s booth will feature an exhibition corner introducing its mobility services: RAKUPITA SOGEI, which was updated in October 2025 to address the growing transportations needs in the increasingly complex area of welfare and nursing care, and Goissho, a shared welfare and nursing care transportation service.
Based on the mission of “staying close to our customers and enriching their lives,” Daihatsu offers a diverse lineup of welfare vehicles under the “Friendship Series” that are tailored to users’ nursing care needs. This approach has earned high praise from many customers and secured Daihatsu the No. 1 market share* in the mini welfare vehicle segment. In addition, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality and affordable products to customers, Daihatsu has long been committed to in-house production of welfare vehicles. This is reflected by its mixed-model production system in which welfare vehicles are produced alongside their base vehicles on the same production line at facilities such as the 2nd District of the Shiga (Ryuo) Plant and Daihatsu Motor Kyushu Co., Ltd.’s Oita (Nakatsu) Plant No.1. At the same time, from a broader perspective, Daihatsu is undertaking various initiatives aimed at creating a society where everyone can move freely, including the development of mobility services that support local communities and the elderly.
Daihatsu will continue to advance initiatives through both MONODUKURI and KOTODUKURI, aiming to realize a mobility society that enriches the lives of customers by providing products and services that contribute to the area of welfare and nursing care.
*No. 1 market share: Total for mini welfare vehicles (wheelchair accessible vehicles, seat lift vehicles, and turn seat vehicles) in 2025, according to Daihatsu research based on publicly available data from manufacturers.
