Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) announces that it will exhibit at Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 to be held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama Ward, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture) from January 10 to 12, 2025. As part of Daihatsu’s efforts to fulfil its mission to “stay close to our customers and enrich their lives,” seven vehicles will be displayed under the themes of “expanding the base of motorsports and bringing the joy of driving to everyone” and “staying close to the community and protecting everyday life.” Daihatsu will be exhibiting in the North Hall together with Toyota Motor Corporation, and will unite as a Group company of the Toyota Group to make the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 a great success.
The same exhibit will also be presented at Osaka Auto Messe 2025 to be held at INTEX Osaka (Suminoe Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) from February 7 to 9.
For motorsports, Daihatsu will exhibit the Mira e:S GR SPORT Concept, which is based on the affordable, lightweight, easy-to-maneuver Mira e:S and has been converted to a turbo/manual transmission system, allowing anyone to enjoy driving it. In addition, as part of Daihatsu’s efforts towards “making ever-better motorsports-bred cars,” which feeds back into base models the knowledge gained from participating in competitions, Daihatsu will exhibit the Mira e:S, which is currently participating in various competitions such as the Japanese Rally Championship, the COPEN GR SPORT, which participated in 2024 Rally Japan, and the HIJET TRUCK JUMBO EXTEND 2, which was used as a support car.
As for regional contributions, based on the knowledge gained through disaster relief, Daihatsu will exhibit the ATRAI WILDRANGER 2 equipped with necessary power supply and an original disaster prevention kit, the HIJET TRUCK Lift Disaster Relief Vehicle that served as a volunteer satellite center in disaster relief for Northern Kyushu floods, and the HIJET TRUCK Tool Base, which improves the work environment at construction sites.
Daihatsu will continue to aim to realize a mobility society that enriches the lives of customers through motor sports and regional contributions.
