Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd.
Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Daihatsu) plans to exhibit mini welfare vehicles, the Friendship Series, at the 44th International Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition, H.C.R. 2017. This is the largest exhibition of its kind in Asia, and will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) from Wednesday, September 27 to Friday, September 29.
At the International Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition, H.C.R. 2017, Daihatsu will exhibit seven mini welfare vehicles, including four Tanto and Move welfare vehicles equipped with the advanced collision-avoidance system, Smart Assist Ⅲ. The entire Daihatsu line-up of mini welfare vehicles—from its wheelchair accessible vehicles to its passenger seat lift vehicles—will be on display.
In addition, visitors to the booth will be invited to participate in cognitive function improvement exercises, which are effective at helping maintain safe driving abilities, under the guidance of physical therapists. With the aim of supporting the safe driving of the elderly, this year Daihatsu has started rolling out local community projects that make use of Daihatsu sales companies nationwide. Held in collaboration with local governments and physical therapists, these projects form part of the company’s Kotodukuri activities, which aim to help the elderly drive their cars safely for as long as possible. At its booth, Daihatsu will also hold vehicle demonstrations using actual vehicles, and implement a variety of other programs that visitors can participate in easily. This will lead to the improved satisfaction of booth visitors.
