Daihatsu to Exhibit at GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show 2026

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) announced today that PT Astra Daihatsu Motor, its Indonesian subsidiary, will exhibit at GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show 2026 (GIIAS 2026), to be held in Jakarta from Wednesday, July 29 to Sunday, August 9, 2026.
Under the exhibition theme of “Karena Kamu Ada, Semua Jadi Mudah (With You in Mind, Making Life Easier
),” Daihatsu will exhibit a total of 16 vehicles and a range of services, highlighting its current and future initiatives driven by the desire to make customers’ car ownership journeys, from purchase and daily use to replacement, more accessible.

Daihatsu will exhibit electrified vehicles including the K-VISION concept car*1 equipped with the e-SMART HYBRID system developed exclusively for mini vehicles, the Midget X concept car*1, which carries forward the inventive spirit of the Midget light three-wheeled vehicle that was exported to Indonesia in the 1960s and widely known as “Bemo”, the e-ATRAI electric vehicle launched in Japan in February 2026, and the hybrid model of the Rocky compact SUV currently sold in Indonesia.　

Furthermore, Daihatsu will also exhibit the “K-OPEN Running Prototype,” which was well received at JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2025, specially styled for GIIAS, as well as vehicles that comply with LCGC*2, the local eco-car standard, a partially improved Sigra, a seven-seater A-segment MPV*3,and a special-edition Terios compact SUV, with the latter two scheduled for release in Indonesia.

Going forward, Daihatsu will continue to offer a diverse range of choices that are just right for customers in Indonesia based on its multi-pathway approach, while contributing to the realization of a low-carbon society in the country.
In addition, Daihatsu will continue to refine its manufacturing of high-quality, affordable vehicles that closely match the needs of customers in Indonesia and other countries, particularly in the ASEAN region, while contributing to the development of Indonesia’s automotive industry and human resource development.
