Notice Regarding Reinstatement to CJPT and CJPT-Asia

Jan. 29, 2025
DAIHATSU MOTOR CO., LTD.

DAIHATSU MOTOR CO., LTD. (Daihatsu) has submitted a request to be reinstated to Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies (CJPT) and Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Asia (CJPT-Asia), which it was removed from on February 13, 2024, in light of a series of procedural irregularities in certification applications, and this request has been accepted.

Daihatsu takes the series of procedural irregularities very seriously and has made company-wide efforts to prevent recurrence based on the “Three Pledges” so that it can regain the trust of all stakeholders, including customers. All 102 measures listed have either fully transitioned to the “Implemented” or “Currently ongoing” phase, and a report was submitted to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on January 24. In light of this progress, and with the desire to make an early contribution to solving issues related to carbon neutrality through mini vehicles in the last-mile delivery area, which is currently continuing to expand, we submitted a request to be reinstated to CJPT and CJPT-Asia, and this request has received the support of the participating companies.

We will continue efforts to prevent recurrence and once again cooperate with companies in the industry to contribute to solving issues facing the transportation industry and the realization of a carbon-neutral society.
