Notice Regarding Removal from CJPT

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (Daihatsu) has submitted a request for removal from Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation (CJPT) in light of a series of procedural irregularities in certification applications, and this request has been accepted. Daihatsu takes it very seriously that we have committed these procedural irregularities that resulted in a loss of trust from our customers and the public and led to this decision.
Daihatsu joined CJPT in July 2021 with the aim of accelerating efforts toward carbon neutrality through the diffusion of CASE technologies in mini vehicles. However, it must be said that we did not even make it to the starting point.
We will make every effort to thoroughly implement measures to prevent recurrence under the new structure of the Board of Directors that was announced today. We will also return to our roots as a “mobility company centered on compact vehicles.” In doing so, we will promote efforts toward revitalizing the company with the support and cooperation of Toyota Motor Corporation to restore trust from our customers and other stakeholders.
