Goissho Shared Nursing Care Transportation Service Selected as Top Four in Winter Digi-den Koshien

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) announced that its Goissho shared nursing care transportation service (hereinafter “Goissho”) has been selected as the top four in the 2022 Winter Digi-den Koshien hosted by the secretariat of the Council for the Realization of the Vision for a Digital Garden City Nation, Cabinet Secretariat.
The Digi-den Koshien is part of the Vision for a Digital Garden City Nation. The Prime Minister's Prize and other awards are granted to initiatives that use digital technology to solve individual local problems, improve the quality of life of residents, and promote local industry. The prize-winning initiatives are selected based on a panel of experts and online voting by the public.
Goissho, selected as the top four this year, is an initiative that helps solve the shortage of labor at nursing care facilities and secure transportation for elderly people, starting with a shared pick-up and drop-off service. It was launched on April 22, 2022, and is currently being used in Mitoyo, Kagawa Prefecture.(https://www.daihatsu.co.jp/goissho/)

1. Overview of Service

Goissho is a mobility service that allows nursing care facilities to operate pick-up and drop-off services jointly in the region and to combine other transportation services by utilizing drivers and vehicles in their free time during pick-ups and drop-offs. This will contribute to solving issues such as labor shortages at nursing care facilities and ensuring transportation for elderly people.
Daihatsu provides the following three services for the Goissho operations: (1) Preliminary research and simulation, (2) Support for building an operation system, and (3) Operation management system.

2) Target: Local governments, non-profit organizations providing community support, and
