Daihatsu to Introduce RAKUPITA SOGEI Transportation Support System for Day-Care Service Providers to Nationwide Nursing Care Corporation - Contract concluded with YAMAUCHI to reduce the burden and improve labor productivity at nursing care facilities -

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) concluded a contract with YAMAUCHI Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “YAMAUCHI”), which operates a nationwide nursing care business, in December 2024 to introduce the RAKUPITA SOGEI transportation support system for day-care service providers.

RAKUPITA SOGEI was developed as a new solution service in the area of welfare and nursing care. It helps solve social issues such as the shortage and aging of care workers. It is a simple telematics system using smartphones that helps streamline transportation operations at day-care facilities before, during, and after transportation. RAKUPITA SOGEI has been used by nursing care facilities nationwide since its launch in 2018. Furthermore, based on the knowledge gained through the RAKUPITA SOGEI transportation support system, Daihatsu launched its Goissho shared nursing care transportation service in 2022 to support the mobility and lifestyles of the elderly in local communities, starting with a shared transportation service that bundles together transportation services at multiple nursing care facilities to improve efficiency.

Daihatsu and YAMAUCHI started a three-month trial of the RAKUPITA SOGEI system at two facilities in May 2024. The trial confirmed the cost reduction and time-saving effects of reducing the burden and improving operational efficiency, including transportation services, at nursing care facilities. Therefore, the two companies concluded a contract to introduce the system at 36 nursing care facilities operated by YAMAUCHI nationwide sequentially from April 2025. The system is planned to be expanded to all directly managed locations (43 facilities) going forward. The number of facilities introducing RAKUPITA SOGEI in this contract represents the largest simultaneous introduction of the system for Daihatsu. Daihatsu will continue to expand its services to contribute to solving the issues faced by nursing care facilities nationwide.

Daihatsu will continue to work on both MONODUKURI and KOTODUKURI to realize a mobility society that enriches the lives of customers.
