Daihatsu Receives the ASPIC IoT/AI/Cloud Award 2021 (15th) New Business Model Award for its Nursing Care MaaS RAKUPITA SOUGEI System and Goissho Service

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) received the New Business Model Award in the Social Industry Specialized ASP/SaaS Category at the ASPIC IoT/AI/Cloud Award 2021 (15th) for its welfare and nursing MaaS RAKUPITA SOUGEI day care facility pick-up and drop-off support system and Goissho shared pick-up and drop-off service.

RAKUPITA SOUGEI (https://www.daihatsu.co.jp/rakupita/) is a simple, smartphone-based telematics service that Daihatsu has been providing since 2018 to support nursing homes in improving the efficiency of their pick-up and drop-off operations. It enables anyone to easily create optimal pick-up and drop-off schedules, which generally can only be created manually by experienced employees. This contributes to improved productivity and convenience for nursing care facilities in three situations: before, during, and after pick-up and drop-off.
Since there are issues such as a shortage of human resources in some areas where each nursing care facility provides individual transportation, Daihatsu has been examining the possibility of combining transportation operations previously handled separately by each facility in the region with the objective of joint operation since 2019. In the spring of 2022, Daihatsu will begin offering the "Goissho" service, a shared nursing care transportation service (https://www.daihatsu.co.jp/goissho/). With Goissho, Daihatsu aims to develop a system that will enable the planning and operation management of more complex shared transportation, utilizing the know-how accumulated through the RAKUPITA SOUGEI system.
Going forward, Daihatsu will continue to contribute to reducing the workload and addressing the labor shortage in the nursing care industry through RAKUPITA SOUGEI and Goissho.

The ASPIC IoT, AI, Cloud Award is an award presented by the ASP-SaaS-AI-IoT Cloud Industry Association (ASPIC) to recognize excellent and socially beneficial cloud services in Japan. By supporting the business expansion of cloud service providers and user companies, the award in intended to contribute to the development and establishment of cloud services as social information infrastructure. The awards have been presented since 2006, and this year, 2021, is the 15th time.
