Daihatsu Partially Upgrades the Boon compact passenger car ~ To strengthen safety features on all grades; new body colors available~

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) has partially upgraded the Boon compact passenger car, and will launch the new model nationwide on Thursday, April 1.

With the Boon, Daihatsu incorporated the technologies and expertise it had cultivated through its development of mini vehicles into a compact car; this resulted in a passenger car that, thanks to its smart and high-quality design, has become popular among a wide range of customers. The current, third-generation Boon was released in April 2016. In addition to the Boon and the Boon CILQ, in 2018 Daihatsu added a third model to its line-up—the Boon STYLE—and the availability of three distinctive models has contributed to customer’s favorite design.

For this partial upgrade, Daihatsu has simplified the grade system, and also equipped all grades with Smart Assist and Auto Light as standard. In addition to strengthen safety features, updates have also been made in other areas—the Boon X “L Package SA III,” for example, comes with LED headlights as standard. Nevertheless, the models retain the same affordable pricing as before. Body colors have also been partially changed, and a new Turquoise Blue Mica Metallic color has been added.

Based on its “Light you up” approach, going forwards Daihatsu will continue to provide optimal mobility to every one of its customers, and cater to their needs via its extended range of mini and compact vehicles.

・ X “SA III” comes with Rear Smoked Glass and Silver Outer Door Handles as standard

・ X “L Package SA III” comes with LED headlights and Silver Outer Door Handles as standard

・ Rear seating is now collapsible

・ Quarter garnish is now black

Boon CILQ

・ 15-inch aluminum wheels, available as a manufacturer’s option with the “G Package SA III,” feature an updated design; center caps for 14 and 15-inch aluminum wheels are now black

・ New body colors available: Juicy Pink Metallic (R73); Juicy Pink Metallic x White (XG7); and Turquoise Mica Metallic x Black Mica Metallic (XH6)

Boon STYLE

・ “White Limited SA III” and “Black Limited SA III” come with Plated Outer Door Handles as standard

・ Center caps on the 14-inch aluminum wheels, available as a manufacturer’s option with the “SA III,” are now black

・ A new body color is available: Brilliant Copper Crystal Mica Metallic (T33)

・ “Black Limited” is available in new body colors: Turquoise Mica Metallic x Black Mica Metallic (XH6); and Brilliant Copper Crystal Mica Metallic x Black Mica Metallic (XG2)
