Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) has partially upgraded its Altis passenger vehicle, and will launch the new model nationwide on August 1.

Produced by Toyota Motor Corporation as an OEM vehicle, the Altis became Daihatsu’s first-ever hybrid passenger car when it was released in May 2012.

The partially upgraded Altis comes with a range of new features. In order to prevent unforeseen collisions at low speeds, the new model is equipped as standard with Intelligent Clearance Sonar—which automatically engages the brakes when it senses obstacles in front or behind the vehicle—for improved safety. The adoption of Automatic Retractable Remote-Control Colored Door Mirrors with LED Side-turn Lights (plated, with heating functions, and featuring a wide-view on the driver’s side) increases convenience, while a new Emotional Red II has been added to the range of available body colors.
