We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the victims of the earthquakes centered in Kumamoto and Oita Prefectures, which struck on April 14 and subsequent days.
Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (“Daihatsu Motor”) and Daihatsu Motor Kyushu Co., Ltd.
(“Daihatsu Motor Kyushu”) announced today that the companies have decided to suspend
the production lines at their plants in Japan in a phased manner from Monday, April 18 to
Saturday, April 23 primarily because of the difficult supply situation of parts and components
influenced by the recent earthquakes.
We will make a decision on the resumption of operation in accordance with the supply of
parts and components, etc.
We sincerely hope that the areas affected by this disaster enjoy the earliest possible recovery.
