Daihatsu Terios Receives Red Dot Design Award for 2006

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (Daihatsu) announced today that its new compact SUV “Terios” has received the Red Dot Design Award from the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany. This year’s award follows the previous success of the Daihatsu “Copen” in 2004.

Established in 1955, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the most internationally renowned awards granted to products with high design quality. Awards are given to products in 12 categories, including transportation. The winners are judged and then selected on the basis of nine selection criteria including innovation and functionality. With 2,068 products from 41 countries worldwide submitted for selection in this year’s Red Dot Design Award, the excellent design quality of the new Daihatsu “Terios” was highly rated.
