Daihatsu Announces Organizational Changes

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd.
Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. announced it has reviewed its systems for officers and executives, and will be carrying out organizational changes and reform with effect from January 1, 2023.
Ⅰ．Main Points of Changes
- Continuing the 5 group system that began in January 2022 and making changes primarily at the division and department level
- Changing to a sustainable organization by clarifying authority and responsibility, as well of strengthening competitiveness by evolving into an organizational structure that can focus on each and every employee through optimized scope of management
Ⅱ．Overview of Organizational Changes*1
（1）Corporate Management Group
- Some divisions and departments will be reorganized and transferred to increase speed and promote smooth operation.
- Digital Transformation Promotion Dept. and IT Dept. will be separated, and some functions of the Mobility Development Group will be transferred to the Digital Transformation Promotion Dept. to strengthen DX promotion.

（2）Mobility Development Group
- R&D Infrastructure Development Div. will be established to standardize and streamline the development and evaluation infrastructure (maintenance, management, update, reform, development) operations through integrated operation of Ikeda, Shiga, and Kyushu.
（3）Emerging-market Compact Car Company Group
- The Emerging-market Compact Car Management Dept. will be eliminated and reorganized to increase speed by simplifying the organization.
（4）Direct Control
- The Nibako Company will be established to promote business related to the Nibako all-in-one mobile sales package, and President Soichiro Okudaira will be appointed as President.
