Daihatsu Motor CO.,LTD. announced its organizational changes as of April 1, 2018.

Ⅰ. Aim of organization reform

The automotive industry is entering what is widely regarded as a once-in-a-century period of major change. As such, two of the major issues facing Daihatsu are the early realization of advanced technologies appropriate to compact cars, and increasing competition in emerging nations. In order to increase the speed with which it engages with these issues and in order to provide customers with optimal mobility, Daihatsu is implementing changes to its organizational structure aimed at realizing the following goals:

1) Promoting the medium- to long-term management plan, D-Challenge 2025, as well as formulating of even longer-term business and technological strategies

2) Strengthening cost competitiveness and realizing advanced technologies in a speedy manner

3) Enhancing customer communication from sales to services in an integrated manner, with the aim of becoming a brand that is intimately connected to its customers
