Daihatsu New Copen Daihatsu’s Copen Factory Opens to General Public

Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd. announces that the Copen Factory, where the Copen mini convertible sports vehicle is manufactured, is now open for tours to the general public.

Until now, the Copen Factory was only accessible to owners of the new model Copen. However, to commemorate the first anniversary of the Factory’s opening, it was decided to open it to everyone. Non-owners of the Copen who are members of the Copen Club* will be able to register for a tour of the factory on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Registrations are made through the Copen website COPEN.jp (https://copen.jp/).

Below is an overview of the Copen Factory General Public Tour

  • Content: Tour of the Copen Factory (guided tour 10 minutes / assembly line observation 30 minutes / self-guided tour 20 minutes)
  • Days: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month
  • Times: Twice daily (10:00-11:20, 13:30-14:50)
  • Number of people admitted: Maximum 15 people per tour
  • Participation fee: Junior high school students and above 1,000 yen/person (including consumption tax)
  • Open to: Copen Club members*
