Two concept car models and the renewed Xenia to be exhibited at the Indonesia International Auto Show 2015

Astra Daihatsu Motor (hereinafter “ADM”), an Indonesian subsidiary of Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu), will exhibit two concept car models and the Xenia, which is a seven-seat multi-purpose vehicle, and other models at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2015 (GIIAS 2015) which is scheduled to be held in Jakarta from Thursday, August 20 to Sunday, August 30. The two concept car models will make their international debut, while the Xenia will have undergone minor change before its launch on August 20.
For the concept cars, the FX Concept is a crossover vehicle, while the FT Concept was made to be a full-scale SUV. In addition to the two models, ADM will exhibit four light vehicle models that are marketed in Japan.
Improvements in the fuel efficiency and the basic performance of Xenia after the minor change will be highlighted by exhibiting not only the vehicle, but also the newly-developed platform equipped with a new engine.
Continuing on from last year, ADM proposes the concept of “Fun with your Best Friend” as it emphasizes efforts to develop optimal products that satisfy the needs of local customers in Indonesia, and works to boost indigenization in R&D, production, and procurement.

<Concept cars>

FX Concept: World Premier

The FF-based crossover model makes full use of Daihatsu’s technology for compact cars. The model is tough enough to stand up to the rigors of off-road running, and has an advanced and dynamic design.

FT Concept: World Premier

The full-scale FR-SUV is intended to be on the same level as the top model of the ADM lineup. It has dynamic and high-quality design, and a wide interior space that can comfortably accommodate seven passengers.

In addition, ADM will also exhibits light vehicle models marketed in Japan, namely the Move, Wake, Mira Cocoa, and Hijet Truck.

<Commercially available cars>

Four models of commercially available cars will be exhibited, including the renewed Xenia, the Copen, the Terios GIIAS 2015 limited model, and the upgraded version of Ayla.
