(Circular Economy)

【CE Challenge】
Toward car-to-car recycling in 2050, which will utilize resources from end-of-life vehicles to manufacture new vehicles, we will develop items to be incorporated into vehicle models developed from 2030 to 2035, as well as post-processing systems, according to a roadmap.

Initiatives Targets and implementation items
Promoting 3R-conscious design
  • Contributing to promoting resource recycling by expanding and modeling 3R-conscious design.
  • Use of common materials and reduction of material usage.
  • Further promotion of recycling design.

*3R:Reduce, reuse, recycle

Contributing internationally through the proper disposal and recycling technologies for end-of-life vehicles developed in Japan.
  • Complying promptly with recycling-related laws and regulations in each country.
Development of 3R technologies and systems for scarce resources, scrapped vehicles and parts.
  • Publish information on LIB shipments and recommended parts for resource recycling to the automobile recycling system.
Expanded use of recycled automobile materials.
  • Expanding the use of recycled plastic parts.
  • Consider using materials suitable for recycling.
