Daihatsu carries out environmental conservation activities with the goal of eliminating environmental accidents and complaints, and compliance violations.
To realize this goal, the company has adopted ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS). All companies affiliated with both in Japan and overseas act in accordance with these EMS, and seek to earn the trust of the local communities in which they operate.
The Daihatsu Environmental Meeting is chaired by the Environmental Director, and its members consist of chief officers. The Meeting works to resolve Group-wide environmental issues, from product planning and development to production, sales, and aftersales service.
