Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd.
Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) announced today that it has partially updated its Rocky compact SUV. The updated model will go on sale nationwide on June 1.
Daihatsu released the Rocky compact SUV in November 2019 as part two of DNGA, its next-generation approach to making cars. Classed as a small passenger vehicle, the Rocky features good maneuverability, a spacious cabin, ample luggage space, and a powerful design underscored by its use of large 17-inch tires*1. The model is suitable for use in all manner of scenarios—from everyday life to leisure activities—and is highly regarded by a large number of customers.
The partial update announced today sees new monotone color variations added to the top Premium grade. Previously, the top grade was only available in two-tone color variations; now, monotone color variations are offered as standard—just like the G grade—with two-tone color variations offered as manufacturer’s options. It is hoped these changes will provide satisfaction to an even wider range of customers.
Based on its “Light you up” approach, going forward Daihatsu will continue to provide optimal mobility to every one of its customers, and cater to their needs via its extended range of mini vehicles and compact cars.
*1 17-inch tires are equipped as standard to the Premium and G grades; X and L grades come with 16-inch tires.
