Daihatsu Mini Passenger Vehicles Cumulative Sales of Vehicles Equipped with Smart Assist Top 600,000

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Daihatsu) is pleased to announce that as of March 2015, cumulative sales of vehicles that employ its Smart Assist crash-avoidance assistance system reached 600,000 vehicles*1.

As of March 2015, cumulative sales of vehicles equipped with the Smart Assist crash-avoidance assistance system, which was first employed in the Daihatsu Move that went on sale in December 2012, have reached 600,000 units.
At present, four of Daihatsu’s mini passenger vehicles, namely the Move, Tanto, Mira e:S and Wake employ Smart Assist. The percentage of vehicles equipped with Smart Assist has risen to around 70%, with its functionality and the low price of 50,000 yen*2 earning strong support from customers.
