Notice of Application for Stock Exchange Delisting

On 17th January 2003 the board of directors of Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (Daihatsu Motor) decided to apply to have the company's common stock delisted from the Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo Stock Exchanges.

  1. Reason for delisting

    Daihatsu Motor's common stock is traded on the Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo Stock Exchanges.
    In recent years the numbers of shares of the company's common stock traded on the Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo Stock Exchanges has been quite low. Accordingly, the company has decided to apply for delisting from these three exchanges. We expect that this action will have minimal impact on shareholders and investors.
