35th Tokyo Motor Show
The 35th Tokyo Motor Show was held from 26th October to 7th November at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The
show opened to the public on 27th October, following press days on the 24th and 25th and a special guest
day for people in the industry on the 26th.
Around 1.3 million people attended the 13-day event, held this year under the theme of "Open the
Door! The Automobile's Bright Future." Visitors had the opportunity to see a total of 709 passenger
cars and motorcycles displayed by more than 270 companies from 13 countries.
Daihatsu and Toyota teamed up to create an exhibit with the theme of "New Dream-Filled Mobility."
The display highlighted the companies' advanced automotive and environment-friendly technologies, while
emphasising the freedom, mobility, and excitement that cars bring to our lives.
The joint Daihatsu and Toyota display included 10 concept cars in the ecology, sports, and new concept
categories, along with 17 production vehicles. The stand also featured several side exhibits showing the
companies' leading technologies.
