The 73rd British International Motor Show

The 73rd British International Motor Show took place from 17th to 29th October at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England. At a Press Day conference held on the show's opening day, Daihatsu's UK distributor, Daihatsu Vehicle Distributors Limited (DVD), joined with Daihatsu to announce the European launch of the YRV. A crowd of some 200 journalists were on hand. Daihatsu exhibited 12 models at the 13-day show, including two YRVs, three Terios, two Sirions, two Cuores, a Rocky, a Hijet, and a model called the Naked as a reference exhibit. The YRV was clearly a visitor favourite, with DVD receiving more than 4,400 inquiries about it.
