Present environmental issues are not just limited to preventive measures for regional pollution. Daihatsu realizes that this is an issue that must be resolved on a global scale, and that it is a problem shared by all of mankind that will affect future generations. Daihatsu will continue to engage in corporate activities that will contribute to the achievement of a circulatory society.

Environmental Action Plan
2004 Revised Edition
Daihatsu drew up a Voluntary Action Plan--Environmental Measure Plan—in 1993, which was created based on the company’s basic ideas and policies toward the environment and establishes the direction of our environmental conservation activities. In December 2005, we set our goal for 2010 and created the 4th Daihatsu Environmental Measure Plan to further strengthen our environmental activities as a group. To execute the environmental measure plan, we have proposed a long-term and annual plan for each stage.
Drawing Up the Long-Term Environmental Plan
The Environmental Measure Plan is the basis of three environmental committees, which will propose the Long-Term Environmental Plan for the next five years. This is published along with the Long-Term Environmental Plan for all related divisions in the company.
Annual Plan Development
The Long-Term Environmental Plan is reflected in the annual policies of the company, as well as each division. Divisional Managers’ Annual Policies are created by each division for a more specific action plan.
