Transport Systems) Town-Use IT Daihatsu has developed the Intelligent Transport System, or ITS, an information system that links to a mobile phone. ITS uses a large, 10.4-inch LED to display information that improves driving safety, convenience, and enjoyment. Functions include e-mail, traffic data, and alerts about vehicle inspection dates or when it's time to schedule an oil change or other servicing. i-system (Friendship Series) The Friendship Series i-system is a system in which people share community-supplied vehicles. The system includes mobile-phone-based user verification, keyless entry, and a control centre that manages and co-ordinates all reservations. Vehicles are equipped with a locator function that tracks their locations at all times. ASV (Advanced Safety Vehicle) System Daihatsu has developed six separate systems for improving safety, including collision-mitigating brake control and lane departure warning. The ASV system aims to prevent accidents by helping drivers recognise danger and react appropriately, and by supporting vehicle operation. |
