The Best for Daihatsu’s Consumers
Since it was launched in July 1999, the Daihatsu Taruna has increasingly attracted the attention of prospective car purchasers in Indonesia. The shape and structure of its modern and revolutionary body is its main attraction as a vehicle for today’s families. This success is due to the efforts of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor and Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd to develop vehicles that satisfy the increasing and varied demands of customers. The development of the Taruna is also closely linked with the concept of a multi-purpose family vehicle which is comfortable to drive, easy to maintain, economical, as well as robust. The use of the EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) system on the Taruna CSR version in 2000 is Daihatsu’s answer to the wish of the customer to have a Taruna model with increased reliability. This EFI technology has established the Taruna as a sophisticated vehicle in its class with a more powerful engine, but which retains its efficiency. Daihatsu has continued its efforts to produce even better products, proved by the launching of the Taruna F-Series with a longer wheelbase and more seating capacity, i.e. for 7 forward-facing passengers. Daihatsu has provided all of these features so that the customer has a wider choice.

“ALL-EFI Taruna”, Technology for All Types of Taruna

The demand for efficient, practical and high-tech vehicles is ever increasing. The announcement of the programme to use vehicles with unleaded fuel in July 2001 has encouraged motor vehicle manufacturers to produce vehicles that cater for this. The All-EFI Taruna is evidence of Daihatsu’s readiness to respond to the customers’ demands for an efficient, comfortable and practical vehicle. The use of EFI ( Electronic Fuel Injection) technology on all types of vehicles manufactured demonstrates Daihatsu’s concern in Indonesia to constantly produce quality cars for its customers. The EFI technology has various benefits for the driver. The fuel supply by electronic fuel injection system results in more accurate mixing and perfect ignition, resulting in optimised output. Another advantage of using EFI is that manual setting is not necessary.
The EFI engine fitted to the Taruna is available in two versions: 1.6L for Taruna FGZ ( long version) and Taruna CSR ( short version), and 1.5L, which is fitted to models FGX, FX, FL ( long version) and CSX, CX, CL ( short version) The premier ALL-EFI Taruna can be seen at the Gaikindo Auto Expo 11.
