greetings

Hello and welcome to the Daihatsu Stand.

The growing sense of concern to our environment has made us question our established way of living. "Fewer resources, less energy, and less waste" has become the general theme in our world today. This holds true also when we speak of motorization, which is an essential part of our daily life. In our motor-oriented society, people have found "compactness" to be the most effective answer to this question. As a result, both consumers and manufacturers alike are beginning to focus more on this solution.
At Daihatsu, we have nearly a century's worth of experience and technical accumulation as a producer of engines and motor vehicles. We have a history of tackling the challenges involved in producing small cars which are both practical and creative, and we have a continuing tradition of producing compact vehicles which have all the advantages of their class but at the same time break through the usual stereotypes to achieve surpassing levels of design.
It has been said that the smaller the car the harder it is to get things right. But our focus on research has allowed us to produce new technology which in turn gives us the creative freedom to come up with new concepts unshackled by the usual constraints imposed by a small body size. At this year's Geneva Motor Show we are introducing our latest innovations in the field of compact-car technology.

Currently, contribution to conserving the world's environment has a great concern for all manufacturers of motor vehicles. Daihatsu have confronted the question of exactly how environmentally friendly vehicles can be, and have developed the UFE (Ultra Fuel Economy) — an innovative concept car.
The UFE concept car looks towards a new generation of highly fuel-efficient vehicles which can run 55 km on a litre of gasoline (in the Japanese emission mode). It is the result of a fusion of various forms of state-of-the-art technology, including a high-performance direct-injection gasoline engine, two-motor hybrid system, world-leading aerodynamics with Cd 0.25, and an exhaustive reduction in the weight of the body.
As well as incorporating next-generation environmental technology, it has also been designed with advanced safety technology, and the result is a car which has a great fun to drive in terms of both driving and handling.

And in our product range, our YRV compact sports wagon now comes in a turbo version. This incorporates a 1,300 cc Dynamic Variable Valve Timing (DVVT) twin-cam turbo engine which we believe brings the joys of unconventional driving as summed up by our slogan "The further pleasure of the drive".
Please take as long as you like to look over the compact proposals we offer.
We, Daihatsu, have the motto "We make it COMPACT". We are determined to set the standards in the world of compact cars, so you can be sure that Daihatsu will remain the people to watch.
